The Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in the overall leadership, administration, and day-to-day operation of The RK Group's workforce camp in Milford, Utah. This position serves as the General Manager's primary operational partner and is responsible for helping ensure the camp operates safely, efficiently, professionally, and in accordance with company standards, client expectations, contractual requirements, and applicable regulations.

The AGM provides hands‑on leadership across camp operations, including resident services, front desk/check‑in, housing and room readiness, housekeeping and janitorial services, food and beverage operations, facilities and maintenance, laundry and linen operations, safety and security, recreation and common areas, transportation coordination when applicable, and other resident support services. The successful candidate must be comfortable working in a fast‑paced workforce environment where priorities can change quickly and uninterrupted service is essential.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Operational Leadership
  • Assist the General Manager with the overall management and daily operation of the workforce camp.
  • Serve as the senior operational leader in the General Manager's absence.
  • Maintain a visible leadership presence throughout the property and regularly inspect operational areas.
  • Conduct daily operational walkthroughs and identify deficiencies requiring immediate or long‑term corrective action.
  • Coordinate activities among department leaders to ensure consistent communication and service delivery.
  • Participate in daily operational meetings, shift briefings, safety meetings, and management meetings.
  • Ensure departments are properly staffed based on occupancy, workload, service requirements, and operational needs.
  • Respond quickly and professionally to operational emergencies, service interruptions, resident concerns, and client requests.
  • Maintain effective communication with the General Manager regarding significant operational issues, staffing concerns, safety matters, resident issues, and client expectations.
Resident Services & Housing Operations
  • Oversee the resident arrival, check‑in, room‑assignment, relocation, and check‑out processes.
  • Help ensure accurate room inventory and occupancy records.
  • Monitor room readiness and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to minimize out‑of‑service rooms.
  • Ensure residents receive professional, courteous, and timely service.
  • Address escalated resident complaints and service‑recovery situations.
  • Monitor common areas, recreational facilities, dining areas, laundry facilities, and other resident amenities.
  • Help maintain a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming living environment.
Housekeeping, Janitorial & Laundry
  • Work closely with housekeeping leadership to ensure resident rooms are cleaned according to established schedules and standards.
  • Monitor housekeeping productivity, room‑cleaning times, staffing levels, inspections, and quality scores.
  • Ensure public areas, restrooms, administrative spaces, recreational areas, and other facilities are maintained to established cleanliness standards.
  • Monitor linen inventories and laundry operations.
  • Ensure adequate supplies of linens, towels, cleaning chemicals, equipment, and guest/resident supplies.
  • Conduct room and facility inspections and initiate corrective action when standards are not met.
Food & Beverage / Dining Operations
  • Partner with Food & Beverage leadership to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality meal service.
  • Monitor daily meal counts and adjust staffing, food production, and service levels based on camp occupancy.
  • Review food quality, presentation, portion control, sanitation, service speed, and resident satisfaction.
