Job Summary
Our customer is the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) and acts as the provider of GIG/Defense Information System Network (DISN) services to its customers, the Department of Defense (DoD) and national security organizations. This position directly supports the DISA-provided GIG capabilities and services in the 24x7 DISA Global Field Command (DGFC).
Position: Missile Defense Operations Support Cell Team Lead (Hill AFB, UT)
Requirements: U.S. citizenship and an active Secret clearance.
Primary Responsibilities- Lead a team of Leidos employees and sub-contractors, defining the team's direction and ensuring alignment with organizational and customer missions.
- Manage daily contractor operations, serving as the focal point for contractor‑assigned tasks and addressing performance issues.
- Foster an environment of employee growth and development, promoting continuous learning and skill enhancement.
- Handle team staffing activities, performance concerns, and dispute resolution.
- Provide guidance, support, and resources to motivate team members.
- Ensure MD OSC Technicians adhere to source documentation, DoD policies, DISA circulars, local TTPs, and watch officer documentation.
- Partner with engineering teams to provide specifications for network architecture, evaluate and integrate new technologies, and perform needs assessments.
- Analyze user requirements, concept of operations documents, and system architectures to develop solutions for network outages or other system issues.
- Provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution for complex network problems.
- Interact with customer and senior leadership regarding network engineering, technical considerations, and related issues or conflicts.
- Work with DoD SATCOM Gateway facilities and deployed operators to troubleshoot and resolve SONET, IP, and SATCOM network issues.
- Provide SONET/SDH/IP network support, including configuration of switches, routers, multiplexers, media converters, and modems.
- Utilize diagrams, maps, cut sheets, and TSOs/SAAs/GAAs as source documentation for network configuration.
- Utilize ticketing applications to aid in customer problem tracking and resolution across the network.
- BS degree with 4–8 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree with 2–6 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
- Hold DoD‑8570 IAT Level 2 baseline certification (Security+ CE or equivalent) prior to start date.
- Able to work in a 24x7 shift work environment.
- Must have an active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Possess deep understanding of both Transport and IP network topologies.
- Prior management experience in IT or operations.
- Tech control facility or cyber transport experience.
- Circuit actions and vendor experience.
- IP architecture experience.
- Telco NOC, inside or outside plant experience.
- Experience with MS Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Teams).
- Experience with one or more of alarm surveillance, fault management, LAN maintenance, performance management, or change management.
