IT Configuration Management Specialist

Location: Hill Air Force Base

IT Configuration Management Specialist Tope is seeking a IT Configuration Management Specialist to support the AF Strategic Program Information Services team in support of the Sentinel Information Services (IS) team. The selected candidate will join our Information Services team and have an important role in supporting our mission of Strategic Deterrence through continual improvement and innovation. The position will have the following duties and responsibilities:

Provide configuration management and project management support for development and operations of multiple enterprise cloud networks and computing centers

Provide or assist with configuration management of hardware, software, system, and license management; product lifecycle management; change management; project management tasks; and the related processes.

Interface with various department staff and the customer in support of these activities

Maintain configuration management baseline of IT cloud and on-premises environments

Implement and maintain change management process

Gather and document requirements and metrics

Develop and improve processes

Establish and maintain documentation policies and procedures

Oversee software license management

Track and report project task status updates

Drive CM related project initiatives

Collaborate with internal and external teams

Position requires U.S. Citizenship, fully adjudicated DoD Secret or Top-Secret Security Clearance and at least 5+ years’ experience with a MS degree; 7+ years’ experience with a BS degree; or 10+ years’ experience with a HS diploma with:

Understanding of the DoD environment and familiarity with DoD operations

Proven experience with IT Queue/Change/Configuration Management Previous success in developing standards, process improvement, managing processes

Ability to review, analyze, document, and explain technical systems and data General understanding of computer networks, hardware, databases, applications, security components, computer operations, and operating systems

Configuration control and management experience

Project management experience.

Other skills desired are:

Quality Control experience

Standards compliance and information assurance, including ITAR, CCA, FedRAMP, DIACAP, RMF, ITIL, CMMIUnderstanding of the DoD Acquisition System Ability to build bridges across organizational boundaries, and the ability to communicate with technical and non-technical leaders across large complex organizations.
