WHY THIS IS IMPORTANT TO USSimCorp is transforming the way we deliver services to our clients. We are looking for a highly motivated Service Delivery Consultant with skills in testing and test automation. You will work in our global Validation and Test (V&T) delivery unit consisting of cross-located teams delivering high quality testing services embedded into Configuration and Upgrade projects. V&T is a client facing part of the Sim Corp Global Managed Services  this role, you are to evaluate complex business requirements, design and implement test cases, conduct meetings with customers, ensure incident management and test results reporting.

The API Specialist for Automation (Sim Corp Dimension) at the IC6 grade, is responsible for building, maintaining, and optimizing automated API testing and integration frameworks that support Sim Corp Dimension (SCD) components and surrounding enterprise systems. The role ensures the quality, reliability, and performance of API based interfaces used for investment operations, portfolio management, and downstream financial workflows. This specialist collaborates closely with QA teams, Sim Corp consultants, Dev Ops, and Product Development across global delivery setups.

Key Responsibilities
1. API Test Automation for Sim Corp Dimension Develop and maintain automated test suites for SCD exposed APIs (e.g., Front Office, Risk, Compliance, and Performance Management, Data Management).Build reusable test automation components for validating business critical processes such as trade booking, valuations, instrument reference data, pricing, and portfolio data flows.

Implement and execute automated test suites triggered through CI/CD pipelines.
2. Sim Corp Integration & Data Flow Validation Automate validation of data exchanges between Sim Corp Dimension and upstream/downstream systems (e.g., market data providers, custodians, clearing houses, accounting systems).Support automation for SCD integration modules like Sim Corp Gain, Sim Corp API Gateway, and Sim Corp Update Manager (where applicable).Create tools/scripts to verify end-to-end data consistency across SCD tables, extracts, and API endpoints.
3. Framework & Tooling Development Design automation frameworks using tools and technologies such as:

C# / .NET, MSTest, Reqnroll (BDD), Swagger, Insomnia.

Supporting utilities for XML/JSON schema validation and SCD extract processing

Integrate automation execution with Azure Dev Ops pipelines.
4. Collaboration with Sim Corp Teams & SMEsWork with Sim Corp consultants and functional analysts to understand API usage, SCD configuration, workflows, and event triggers.

Participate in release readiness assessments, sprint ceremonies, and integration workshops.

Support teams in identifying testable API entry points for new SCD modules or service updates.
5. Monitoring & Debugging Troubleshoot API failures by analyzing logs, payloads, sequencing, authentication flows, and SCD backend data.

Identify root causes within SCD processes or integrations.

Improve test stability and ensure coverage across environments.
6. Governance, Documentation & Standards Maintain API test plans, Swagger/OpenAPI references, and automation framework documentation.
