SAP Data Modeler​/SAP Consultant

Overview

Level: Mid-level, based on required 4+ years SAP experience.

Summary: This role supports reporting and analytics by designing SAP-based data models for the business. The candidate needs strong SAP functional knowledge, especially in Supply Chain or Sales & Distribution, and should understand how SAP processes work, how data should be combined, and how to ask business users the right questions. This is not a heavily SAP BW-focused role, even though BW/BW/4

HANA experience is listed.

Main Responsibilities:

• Build scalable SAP data models for reporting and Power BI analytics.
• Create source-to-target data mappings for data engineering teams.
• Work with IT functional leads, data engineers, and business analytics teams.
• Support UAT, hypercare, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
• Help resolve production and business issues related to data/reporting.

Must-Have

Skills:

• 4+ years of SAP technical or functional experience.
• At least 2 years of SAP BI experience.
• Strong SAP data modeling experience.
• Experience with SAP BW or BW/4
  
  HANA.
• Strong understanding of SAP business processes.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts to business users.

Most Important Fit Criteria: The strongest candidates will have SAP functional experience in Supply Chain or Sales & Distribution, plus enough data modeling knowledge to design reporting models and support business analytics. Prioritize candidates who understand SAP business processes over candidates who are only traditional BW developers.

Nice-to-Have:

• 2+ years of SAP Sales & Distribution or Supply Chain experience.
• SAP consulting, systems integration, architecture, S/4
  
  HANA migration, or SAP administration experience.
