Job Description

OVERALL

PURPOSE:

Contributes to departmental performance by achieving operational efficiency targets to support sales and gross income objectives of assigned accounts

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Fulfill expected Customer Service Level in all DCs by working across the vendors’ as well as our own organization to streamline and strengthen the supply chain
  • Maintain optimum inventory level by keeping the right reorder point / days supply at all times following ordering process guidelines
  • Keep inventory of promoted items at correct levels
  • Study turnover trend to meet fluctuations in demand and forecasts as needed
  • Suggest if reorder point needs to be adjusted
  • Provide workable alternatives to existing ordering process guidelines to improve results achievement

2. Excellent Operational Administration

  • Work across the vendors’ as well as our own organization, to ensure the successful execution and implementation of standard operating procedures (e.g. Vendor Transaction Procedure)
  • Provide relevant product and/or vendor information by ensuring the accuracy of information entered into and maintained by the system (e.g. prices, discounts, rebates, shelf life, barcodes)
  • Exhibit fiscal discipline by providing and maintaining accurate, complete, and timely documents / reports to facilitate Accounting procedures and ensures harmony of records with external parties
  • Maintain good credit standing by ensuring that all vendor unsettled balances, either receivables from or payables to, are settled on time / the soonest time possible
  • Ensure that returns (bad orders, good stocks, phased out) are retrieved the soonest time possible
  • Provide excellent customer service by ensuring that internal and external customers’ requests / inquiries / concerns (within authorized parameters) are attended to promptly
  • Take over the Purchasing Admin Assistant’s tasks, as needed

Qualifications:

  • College graduate of any 4-year business course
  • Ability to speak Chinese is an advantage
  • Must be willing to work full-time in Binondo, Manila
