Daggett County is looking for a full-time Equipment Operator - Assistant Maintenance Tech to work in Dutch John, UT. This water treatment equipment position offers a wage between $16.08 and $19.39/hour, along with a solid benefits package. This includes:

The work hours for this job are from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday
. You may also be on call and will occasionally need to work on weekends.
As an Equipment Operator - Assistant Maintenance Tech at Daggett County, your day will start at a central location before heading to different job sites. You will help with the upkeep of water treatment and processing facilities, including changing chemicals, taking water samples, and monitoring pump stations. Your daily tasks will also involve maintaining the Dutch John Water and Sewer systems, where you will perform plumbing repairs, heating work, and seasonal maintenance.
Additionally, you will operate heavy machinery like graders and backhoes to maintain roads and perform drainage maintenance. Your work will play a key role in keeping our community safe and functional.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1+ year(s) of experience in operating and maintaining medium to heavy-sized equipment
- Pesticide applications license
- Valid Utah driver's license
- Valid Utah Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) or the ability to earn one
- Flagger certification or the ability to obtain one
- Strong knowledge of safety precautions related to construction and equipment operation
- Strong communication skills and the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
