Northrop Grumman Propulsion Systems is currently seeking a Principal Project Manager to support Test and Research Operations Value Stream at our Promontory Utah campus.
The Principal Project Manager will be responsible for managing projects that are going through multiple research labs. They will be working closely with management, engineering, and the labs to help make sure the projects are being worked and coordinated.
Responsibilities- Work closely with engineering and demand planning to understand and layout projects going through research operations
- Work with lab management concerning priorities and understanding what is coming to the labs
- Function as a point of contact for project statuses for programs and management
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelors Degree in Business or a Technical Field with 5 years of professional experience – OR – Masters degree with 1 year of professional experience – OR – PhD with 0 years of professional experience.
- Demonstrate the ability to lead multiple projects at the same time
- Working knowledge of MS Office products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with time management, organizational and planning skills
- Detail oriented
- Experience with rocket motor manufacturing and development
- Experience working with research labs
- Experience coordinating efforts between engineering, labs, and management
- Experience working with program and factory schedules
- PMP or similar certification

Primary Level Salary Range: $81,400.00 - $
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
