Job Description - Deputy Site Manager
Position number: 18423.
This position is being recruited in support of a proposal and is contingent upon contract award.
The Deputy Site Manager/Operations Manager will support the Defense Logistics Agency's (DLA) Warehousing and Distribution Services contract at Hill AFB, UT. This role includes responsibility for all aspects of contract performance and grants full authority to represent the company in all matters when the Site Manager is unavailable.
Responsibilities- Coordinate and oversee all aspects of contract execution, including task management and issue resolution.
- Serve as the Alternate Site Manager whenever the Site Manager is unavailable.
- Organize work schedules efficiently to maximize resource utilization.
- Build and maintain relationships across all levels of leadership.
- Implement cost‑saving measures and quality assurance procedures to ensure tasks are completed effectively and on time.
- Perform any additional duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED required. Bachelor's degree is preferred.
- Minimum three years’ experience in Distribution Management, or seven years in distribution leadership roles relevant to this contract.
- At least two years of recent experience (past five years) with automated warehouse management systems.
- Demonstrated experience in workforce and resource management, as well as supervision of distribution operations matching comparable size, scope, and complexity.
- Comprehensive proficiency with MS Office applications, Warehouse Management Systems, and Inventory Management Systems through practical experience.
- Capable of establishing professional relationships across all levels of leadership.
- Required familiarity with Military Supply Chain processes and inventory procedure.
- Eligibility to secure a government CAC and, when needed, a Secret Security Clearance.
- This position requires compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Candidates must be a U.S. Person as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, or individual admitted as a refugee or granted).
- Skilled in managing Inventory Control activities, including warehousing.
- Proficient in establishing processes to meet performance standards and APLs.
- Capable of developing and implementing employee training programs.
- Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills.
- Possesses industry knowledge of the Aerospace & Defense supply chain.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach and move about the facility.
- The environmental characteristic for this position is an office setting.
- Candidates should be able to adapt to a traditional business environment.
