Industrial Maintenance Technician – Valley Park

Essential Functions

— Troubleshoot, repair, install and maintain all chemical plant mechanical equipment. This includes pumps, agitators, fans, blowers, mechanical seals, and related piping systems, valves, vessels, filters, exchangers, and equipment alignment.

— Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on site electronics, power distribution, electrical equipment, PLCs, and instrument calibration.

— Automate and set up process-control systems, manage instrument calibration and preventive programs.

— Report potential failures and support off‑hour plant operations.

— Lead basic engineering projects, material selection, instrument specifications, purchasing, cost analysis, and implementation.

— Develop and maintain spare parts strategy for power, instrumentation, and control equipment.

— Provide training to site technicians and operations staff, and support site safety initiatives, especially Process Safety Management (PSM).

Responsibilities
  • Execute preventive/corrective maintenance to all the site electronics / power distribution / electrical equipment / PLC.
  • Automate and set up process-control systems.
  • Create/Manage instrument calibration and preventive programs for process and service equipment.
  • Report potential failures in plant equipment.
  • Carry out all activities according to EHS procedures and best practices to ensure maintenance reliability and equipment lifespan.
  • Project development and basic engineering, material selection, instrument specifications, purchasing orders, cost comparatives, equipment and instrument implementation, adjustment and calibration as well as running them.
  • Create and maintain spare parts strategy and material for power, instrumentation, and control equipment.
  • Provide training to site technicians, operations, and other personnel.
  • Actively lead and support site safety initiatives, especially PSM.
  • Provide off‑hour support for plant operations as needed.

Education & Experience Required
  • 5–10 years of experience in industrial wiring, instrumentation maintenance, PLC maintenance, and maintenance of 480 V motors.
  • Certified Electrician License (preferred) or Electrical Engineering Degree.

Physical Demands

The role requires frequent lifting and moving of up to 50 pounds, climbing ladders, working on elevated platforms, and performing tasks in difficult-to-reach areas. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Travel

This position requires less than 10% travel.
