Job Functions:
The Automation Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining, troubleshooting, upgrading, and optimizing our automated systems. The Automation technician will provide technical expertise, promote Safety, Quality, Cost, & Reliability that support World Class Operations and demonstrate leadership through the maintenance strategy. therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be willing to work weekends, holidays, rotating shifts and scheduled and unscheduled overtime Two-year college degree or other education training and certifications Demonstratable experience with PLC Programing, HMI’s, Wonderware and/or FTVIEW, scaling instrumentation, PID loops
Preferred Qualifications:
Four-year college degree or other education, training, and certifications. Emerson/GE & Control Logix’s Experience Experience commissioning & trouble shooting AB & ABB Drives Working Knowledge of common protocols (e.g., Ethernet/IP, Control Net, Modbus, Profibus, etc.) Familiarity with NFPA 70E-Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace BOTH INTERNAL & EXTERNAL CANDIDATES MAY BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION. Internal candidates must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation.
