PositionHIRING DAY SHIFT PRODUCTION OPERATOR
IN NORTH SALT LAKE, UT
PAY STARTING AT $20/HR
In the Production Operator role, you will work in the Extrusion department to produce plastic pipe according to specifications, ensuring consistent quality and adherence to safety standards. You will inspect finished products for quality compliance, document production data, and collaborate with team members to meet daily output targets and minimize waste.
Compensation and SchedulePAY: $20/HR
SCHEDULE:
- DAY SHIFT – 6:45am to 7:00pm
- ROTATING SCHEDULE
- WEEK 1 – MON/TUE, FRI/SAT
- WEEK 2 – SUN, WED/THUR
- Work approximately 15 days per month
- Every other weekend is a 3-day weekend
- One week: 48 hours; next week: 36 hours
- Total of ~85.75 hours per pay period (76.75 regular hours + 9 overtime) paid bi-weekly
- Hands-on training provided

- Take end product, ensure it meets requirements and guide it onto the spool
- Continuously monitor for quality and correct markings
- Ensure wraps are neat, cut conduit, tie off and cap as required
- Maintain a safe and tidy work environment following safety requirements
- Complete required paperwork and load a new spool
- Additional duties as required
- Ability to speak, read, and write English fluently
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to measure and perform basic math calculations
- Ability to adhere to and respect all safety measures and procedures
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds with or without assistance
- Ability to spend up to 12 hours per shift on foot around hot machinery
- Must wear PPE at all times, including steel/toe boots, gloves, eye protection, earplugs, hard hats, and face shields as necessary
- Ability to move between areas by stepping over/bending under objects, and to push and pull objects
- Manufacturing floor environment
- Non-climate-controlled facility
For tuition reimbursement you must be a full-time employee and complete one continuous year of employment. You will receive $5,000 per year for undergrad and $7,500 per year for grad studies.
