Painter - Experience Structural Steel Painter

We are seeking a dependable and skilled Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Painter to join our team. This position involves preparing and painting structural and miscellaneous steel components in a shop environment. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial painting and is comfortable working around heavy equipment. Forklift experience is a strong plus. This role is essential to ensuring our fabricated steel meets quality and durability standards before delivery to job sites in a timely and organized manner!

• Prep and paint structural and miscellaneous steel using appropriate coatings and methods
• Mix and apply primers and in less common instances finish coats according to specifications
• Inspect surfaces and finished work for quality and coverage
• Operate forklifts and other shop equipment safely to move materials
• Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of painting equipment and paint booth
• Follow all safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area

• Prior experience in steel or industrial or commercial painting required
• Ability to read and understand work orders and paint specifications
• Forklift certification or relevant experience preferred
• Basic understanding of paint systems, surface prep, and application techniques
• Ability to lift and maneuver materials up to 50 lbs regularly
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail

• Full-time position, Monday–Friday with potential for overtime
