The Wohali Club is excited to announce an exceptional career opportunity for a Membership Sales & Marketing Manager. The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality member experience, embody a Troon hospitality culture, and drive financial growth.
The Membership Sales & Marketing Manager oversees the membership program, including membership sales, development and attendance of membership activities, and management of member communications and events/outing sales.
Primary RoleThe Manager leads prospecting, sales, and onboarding/connection activities, contributing to the club and community's success by:
- Meeting or exceeding stated sales, revenue, and retention goals
- Leading and directing the marketing, membership, and communications team and overall strategy
- Consistently interacting with members, prospects, coworkers, and management with a positive attitude and focus on a culture of hospitality, leadership, and mutual respect.
- Develop and execute marketing tactics and strategy that enhance awareness of the Wohali Club brand and communicate the story and ongoing execution of the overall community membership marketing and sales plan, working collaboratively with onsite club management and Troon corporate team.
- Drive the content development and facilitate production of all membership–related materials, including prospecting and sales collateral; website; social media channels; and membership sales kits and documents associated with onboarding.
- Conduct marketing activities as designated in the master marketing and sales plan, such as community networking, Realtor relations, and presence/participation in member events.
- Seamlessly integrate with the Club leadership team, Troon Corporate team and Ownership; effectively report, track and communicate results & data.
- Implement and manage a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system and Membership Prospect/Sales Report, demonstrating weekly delivery of statistics related to leads, prospect pipeline, sales, and feedback from prospects who decline to join, and results of marketing initiatives.
- Lead and implement a sales journey that gracefully connects potential members to Wohali and new members to the Wohali lifestyle.
- Oversee all membership paperwork related to sales, upgrades, downgrades and resignations.
- Create incoming new member files and ensure accurate completion of designated documentation.
- Maintain all member files, accurately recording pertinent activity and paperwork.
- Securely store member files.
- Lead the content, production, packaging, and delivery of a thorough onboarding for every new member, ensuring the process follows a structured plan, materials are professionally presented, the orientation agenda includes key department leads, and the member understands every element of the club and who the department leads are.
- Act as a supportive team player, actively contributing in staff meetings and effectively communicating information that helps associates increase their understanding of membership goals, policy changes, activities, and retention.
- Develop and adhere to a departmental budget; after approval, monitor and take corrective action to ensure budget goals are attained.
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Public Relations, Communications, or hospitality preferred and/or minimum four years of experience in a related field. Country Club experience is preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Publisher).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Positive attitude, professional manner and appearance in all situations.
- Strong organizational skills: time management, attention to detail, ability to self‑start.
- Able to multi‑task and produce high‑quality results.
- Familiarity with budget development, fiscal management, strategic planning and marketing strategies.
- Team player: ability to work cooperatively with other departments, committees and boards to attain club goals.
