Location: Moab

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Interim Outpatient Nursing Services Manager position requiring a minimum of 2 years of oncology experience and ONS certification at a Level 4 Trauma facility in Moab, UT.

Requirements
  • Active UT RN license or compact license currently in hand
  • BSN from an accredited school of nursing required
  • Minimum 2 years of oncology nursing experience required
  • Minimum 3 years of recent RN experience required
  • ONS certification required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a medical setting required
  • Strong proficiency with electronic health records required
  • Certified Wound Care Nurse (CWCN) certification preferred
  • Infusion certification preferred
Responsibilities
  • Outpatient setting at a Level 4 Trauma hospital in Moab, UT
  • Manages a small outpatient nursing services team of 2–3 staff members across Oncology, Infusion, and Wound Care programs
  • This is a working manager role with both clinical and administrative responsibilities
  • Monday–Friday schedule with on-call responsibilities that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • 13-week contract
  • Responsibilities include staff management, quality control, compliance, financial oversight, outreach marketing, and clinical oversight of the Outpatient Nursing Services department
  • Provides administrative on-call support across all hospital departments as a member of nursing leadership
  • Responsible for developing and maintaining departmental policies and procedures in accordance with state and federal regulations for outpatient infusion and nursing treatments
  • Oversees monthly departmental financials and annual budgetary planning (operational and capital)
  • Coordinates new hire orientation and onboarding, and supports ongoing staff education in oncology, infusion, and wound care best practices
  • Builds and maintains relationships with internal and external providers to promote outpatient treatment and grow departmental referrals
  • Holiday coverage required for:
    New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day
  • Blue scrubs preferred
  • Temporary housing options may be available in Moab, UT
