Overview

We are currently seeking a positive and motivated individual to fill a part‑time Dialysis Registered Nurse (RN) position. This role involves working with patients in our dialysis unit as a key player in life‑saving treatments.

Responsibilities
  • Provide chronic hemodialysis therapy, including formulation of dialysis plans, initiation of dialysis via various accesses, compliance with safety measures, and monitoring of patient vital signs for ESRD patients according to the plan of care.
  • Administer medications, fluid therapy, and other treatments per physician orders; document in the patient treatment record.
  • Perform patient assessments, review dialysis orders, determine physical and mental condition, and document compliance with dietary or medication regimens.
  • Analyze patient data, assess and monitor vascular access status, review labs, and report relevant changes to physicians or Dialysis Services Manager.
  • Prepare and monitor dialysis machines and systems; oversee dialysis water treatment systems and delivery systems.
  • Inform the Dialysis Services Manager of malfunctions and obtain machine and water cultures as requested.
  • Document patient medical records, complete treatment records, and ensure availability of supplies.
  • Participate in quality improvement programs and adhere to Blue Mountain Hospital policies, state and federal regulations (CMS, OSHA, HIPAA).
  • Review pre‑ and post‑dialysis care with patients and discuss health concerns with physicians or manager.
  • Provide diabetes education and ongoing patient education.
  • Attend team meetings, conferences, and training as required.
  • Meet competency and skills tests and checklists as applicable; maintain timely and punctual attendance.
Qualifications
  • Current state of Utah or compact state RN license.
  • CNN or CDN certifications preferred.
  • Ability to stoop, lift, push, and pull 25 pounds or more above the waist.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Successful criminal background check.
  • First aid / CPR certification.
  • Typing ability of at least 30 WPM.
