Job Description (SNF Nursing)

As a Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) nurse, you will provide comprehensive care for geriatric residents who require 24/7 support.

Duties include:

  • Ordering medications, equipment, and supplies as prescribed
  • Preparing and administering treatments and medications
  • Communicating changes in condition to physicians and family members
  • Performing skilled nursing services such as tube feedings, suctioning, catheterization, wound care, dressings, and irrigations
  • Continuous monitoring of critically ill residents
  • Acting as a resident advocate and ensuring care aligns with the care plan and personal wishes
  • Completing accurate, timely charting and documentation

Requirements
  • Active RN or LPN license in good standing
  • Strong communication skills with residents, families, staff, and visitors
  • Ability to make sound, independent decisions
