Dialysis Nurse, RN Nurse
In coordination with the Clinic Administrator, supervises and coordinates dialysis clinic activities. Oversees patients undergoing dialysis treatment at the clinic or medical center. Manages the daily operations of the dialysis clinic, often dealing with staff concerns and administrative issues, such as hiring and payroll discussions. Responsible for the development and implementation of policies and procedures in the dialysis clinic. Work closely with physicians and the medical director to handle patient treatment and maintain an overall quality of care.
Keeps physicians informed of both progress and potential problems. Assists with the direction and evaluation of patient care delivery. Ensures dialysis clinic supplies are at an adequate level; places orders if needed. Assists with the formulation of the dialysis clinic budget. Prepares and oversees work schedules and expedites workflow. Other duties as required.
- Assists with interviewing, hiring, and termination of staff for the Dialysis units.
- Provides leadership and direction following organizational goals and objectives.
- Be familiar with Dialysis clinic operations, policy, and procedures.
- Keep Dialysis clinic in compliance with certification requirements.
- Manage Dialysis operations in Vernal and Roosevelt.
- Conduct performance evaluations of dialysis staff.
- Assist in resolving patient complaints.
- Assist with the fiscal budget and monitor budgets for dialysis.
- Works with medical staff to coordinate medical and nursing management of patient care.
- In coordination with the Administrator, the dialysis center follows and complies with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Reports and maintains NHSN and Crown Web.
- Understands and utilizes the departmental computer system to its optimal potential to manage departmental business.
- Provides oversight and management of EMR in Dialysis.
- Effectively maintains all required records for the Dialysis clinics; demonstrates good organizational skills.
- In coordination with the Physicians, leads ensures the Dialysis Quality team follows local, state, and federal regulations.
- Assumes responsibility for own personal continuing education and developmental needs; attends meetings, workshops to enrich personal knowledge, growth, and management skills.
- Ensures that appearance and personal conduct are professional at all times.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Wears appropriate clothing for job functions.
- Works at maintaining a good rapport and a cooperative working relationship with physicians, administration, and staff.
- Represents the organization positively and professionally in the community.
- Maintains patient confidentiality at all times.
- Complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.
- Registered Nurse
- Bachelor's in Nursing is preferred.
- Prefer three to five years of previous dialysis and management experience.
- Knowledge of state & federal regulations for out‑patient dialysis facilities.
