Ambulatory Registered Nurse
Full Time, Wendover, Utah, US
Salary: $35.00 – $42.00 hourly
Job SummaryProvide professional nursing care to patients in an outpatient setting. Assist medical providers with tasks as assigned and work collaboratively with the clinic team to ensure high‑quality, efficient healthcare delivery.
Responsibilities- Performs nursing interventions by collaborating with the interprofessional team and following appropriate standards of care.
- Assesses patient health status, collects data, and develops care plans in collaboration with the team.
- Evaluates patient response to care plans and adjusts care as needed.
- Assumes responsibility for managing nursing care of individual patients.
- Documents assessments and interventions in a comprehensive, integrated manner.
- Provides safe, ethical, patient‑centered, culturally congruent, evidence‑based care.
- Telephone, EMR and in‑person triage for symptom management.
- Assists with urgent and emergent patient care situations.
- Reviews test results and responds per provider direction.
- Manages patient and staff communications.
- Initiates and monitors intravenous (IV) infusions.
- Performs procedures within scope of practice (e.g., ECG, wound care, injections).
- Provides patient education and follows delegation protocols.
- Manages medication administration and completes accurate, timely EMR documentation.
- Mentors and serves as a resource for colleagues.
- Coordinates care across health‑system and community teams.
- Manages patients with chronic conditions, acute episodes, or behavioral health changes, while promoting prevention and wellness.
- Works independently within scope to achieve favorable outcomes.
- Engages in continuing education, quality improvement, and knowledge sharing.
- Shows leadership through collaborative partnerships and evidence‑based practice.
- Adheres to policies, procedures, code of conduct, and mission/values statements.
- Other duties as assigned.
Graduate of a School of Nursing. Preferred:
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Preferred:
Experience working with the Native American community and in an acute or emergency care setting.
Registered Nurse in Utah, ACLS certification. Preferred: PALS certification.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities- Experience documenting patient care in an electronic medical record.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Ability to conduct knowledgeable clinical assessments and judgment calls.
- Ability to educate staff.
- Capacity to provide counseling and emotional support with compassion and respect.
- Support the care team effectively.
