Irrigation Technician - Summer Seasonal
The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department's Golf Course Maintenance Division is seeking dedicated and highly responsible individuals for this position. Irrigation Technicians are responsible for inspecting, servicing, and repairing the irrigation system at the Breckenridge Golf Club. They also mow turf to maintain golf course features such as greens, aprons, fairways, tees, roughs, practice areas, and non‑play areas. Various types of equipment are used to accomplish this mowing.
Irrigation Technicians are responsible for proper equipment operation, cleaning equipment, and reporting equipment issues. Individuals in this position provide leadership to Greens Keepers assisting with irrigation projects. They perform other duties such as course set‑up, aeration, topdressing, vertical mowing, fertilizing, irrigation installation, drainage installation and repair, trimming bushes, hand watering, picking up debris, repairing ball marks, etc. Irrigation Technicians work within a team environment and communicate in a positive and professional manner with guests, co‑workers, and golf course operations personnel, and attend required work shifts, including necessary trainings.

- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- One (1) or more years of golf course maintenance experience required.
- Must be available to work for the established seasonal timeframe, which is generally May through October, based on organizational needs.
- Previous Irrigation Technician experience preferred.
- Previous supervisory experience preferred.
- Valid Colorado Driver's License and a Motor Vehicle Record deemed appropriate are required prior to driving Town vehicles.
- Community CPR, First Aid, and AED training required within 60 days of hire.
- Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
Typical Hiring Pay Range: $21.50 - $22.75 per hour.
WORK SCHEDULEPrimary shifts for this position vary. However, five (5) days per week for up to 40 hours would be typical for this position. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability, and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
