Why You'll Love This Opportunity

This isn't your typical veterinary technician position.

You'll work alongside veterinarians, technicians, veterinary assistants, and animal care professionals at one of the nation's most recognized animal welfare organizations. You'll encounter a wide variety of cases, expand your skills, and help provide exceptional care to animals with diverse medical and behavioral needs.

Here, your experience matters and so does your passion.

In this role, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Provide hands-on care for hospitalized animals and monitor their progress.
  • Assist veterinarians with surgical procedures from induction through recovery.
  • Perform phlebotomy, IV catheter placement, radiology, laboratory testing, wound care, fluid therapy, medication administration, intubation, and anesthesia monitoring.
  • Participate in specialized procedures such as chemotherapy, blood transfusions, dental procedures, feeding and chest tube management, physical therapy, and critical care.
  • Perform laboratory testing including CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, fecal analysis, ear cytology, blood smears, and more.
  • Triage patients and help prepare animals for a successful transition from the clinic through discharge instructions and follow-up care.
  • Work with animals across multiple species, including those who may be fearful, shy, or experiencing behavioral challenges.
  • Use your technical knowledge and judgment to work independently while being part of an experienced, collaborative medical team.
  • Continue building your veterinary knowledge through exposure to diverse cases and specialized care.

Who Will Thrive Here?

You may be a great fit if you're an experienced veterinary professional who loves learning, isn't afraid to jump in, and wants to be part of something bigger.

We're looking for someone who:

  • Has 2+ years previous veterinary clinic or Veterinary Technician experience, relevant veterinary education, and/or applicable certifications.
  • Is confident performing veterinary procedures independently or with minimal guidance.
  • Brings strong attention to detail and stays organized in a busy clinical environment.
  • Can prioritize multiple patients and responsibilities while maintaining compassionate care.
  • Communicates clearly and professionally with coworkers, clients, and other teams.
  • Values teamwork, kindness, accountability, and open communication.
  • Is comfortable learning new veterinary technology and clinic software.
  • Wants their work to have a meaningful impact on animals and the people who care for them.

A Schedule That Can Work for You

We understand that flexibility matters. Days and shift times can be flexible, and we're happy to discuss scheduling possibilities with qualified candidates.

The position may include some weekend, holiday, varying shift, and on-call responsibilities based on clinic needs.
