Role Purpose
The purpose of this role is to perform the development of VLSI systems by defining the various functionalities, architecture, layout, and implementation for a client.
Responsibilities- Conduct verification of the module or IP functionality and provide customer support.
- Understand the architecture of the module or IP and create a verification environment and development plan as per Universal Verification Methodology.
- Create test bench development and test case coding for one or multiple modules.
- Write or review code as required.
- Execute test cases and debug them if necessary.
- Conduct functional coverage analysis and document test cases, failures, and debugging procedures on SharePoint, JIRA, or any other platform as directed.
- Test the entire IP functionality under regression testing and complete the documentation to publish to the client.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing systems on time with minimum latency and maximum efficiency.
- Write scripts for the IP.
- Comply with project plans and industry standards.
- Ensure reporting and documentation for the client.
- Ensure weekly and monthly status reports for the clients as per requirements.
- Maintain documents and create a repository of all design changes, recommendations, etc.
- Maintain time‑sheets for the clients.
- Provide written knowledge transfer and project history documentation.
- Understand TS1 to MP (prototype to mass production) flow.

- Meet performance metrics including verification timeliness, code quality, customer responsiveness, and project documentation.
- BS degree in electrical, mechanical, or industrial engineering or equivalent through experience.
- 3‑5+ years of quality engineering experience in compute systems, servers, consumer electronics, or hardware manufacturing.
- Working experience with contract manufacturers and PDP build phases.
- Experience with manufacturing quality audits and quality KPI management.
- 5+ years of experience with problem‑solving methodologies (Ishikawa, FMEA, SCAR, 5 Why, 8D, Pareto, MIL…), root‑cause failure analysis, and fault isolation of complex hardware systems.
- Experience with ESD standards (ANSI S20.20), ISO
9001 certification, and quality management system process compliance. - Experience defining quality SOPs, PCNs, and work instructions in cross‑functional collaboration.
- Collaboration with cross‑functional teams (operations and engineering) representing the quality function.
- ASQ CQE certification or Six Sigma (preferred).
- Basic project management skills.
- Proficiency with Office tools and common data analysis tools (JMP, R, Excel, etc.).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; ability to concisely report to cross‑functional teams and management.
- Mandatory skills: VLSI board design.
- Experience:
3‑5 years.
The expected compensation for this role ranges from $45,000 to $121,000, depending on geographic location, minimum wage obligations, skills, and relevant experience.
