Northrop Grumman Space Systems has an opening for a Final Assembly Inspector - Level 3 or Level 4 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals within the Launch Systems business unit located in Promontory, UT. Final Assembly Inspector responsibilities cover a wide array of manufacturing areas and a broad variety of processes on inert and energetic materials. K nowledge of overall quality inspection experience with demonstrated knowledge of high reliability workmanship standards with hardware/interfaces typical of the high-tech industry.

This position will be on 1st shift. As work demand fluctuates there may be requirements for shift work, overtime, weekends, and holidays. This position will work a 4/10 schedule, with every Friday off. This position is contingent upon the candidate obtaining final clearances and program access(es) within a reasonable period of time as determined by the company. In this job, you will:
* Apply hands-on knowledge of inspection methods and techniques with knowledge of AS9100 (or equivalent) and other related standards.

* Receiving inspection experience and experience with creating Nonconformances within Tip Qa.

* ESD, FOD and Shelf Life Control experience.

* Experience using inspection hand tooling such as Micrometers, Calipers, and etc.

* Efficient using Excel, Word, and Outlook.

* Experience working with Tip Qa, MES, and CostPoint software Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
* High School diploma or equivalent and 4 years additional education and/or related experience.

* Must have ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required.

* Ability to pass a BATFE Background investigation

* Ability to travel 10-15% is required

* Hands-on knowledge and experience of inspection methods and techniques, inspection tools, and inspection equipment on inert and energetic materials.

* Experience with nonconformance procedures.

* Basic understanding of reading and interpreting model-based drawings.

* Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, walk up and down stairs, climb up ladders, reach into tight spaces, and lift up to 30 pounds.

* Must be comfortable working with and around energetics. Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
* High School diploma or equivalent and 6 years additional education and/or related experience.

* Must have ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance. U.S. Citizenship is required

* Ability to pass a BATFE Background investigation

* Ability to travel 10-15% is required

* Hands-on knowledge and experience of inspection methods and techniques, inspection tools, and inspection equipment on inert and energetic materials.
