Key Responsibilities
- Batch Record and Supporting Document Review:
Perform routine batch record and supporting data/document review to support product approval and release, quality documentation, record retention, QA hold activities, and material disposition. - Quality Document Review:
Assist with the review and processing of deviations, nonconformities, customer complaints, change requests, change controls, MMRs, and related quality documentation. - Investigation:
Assist with quality investigations by gathering information, reviewing documentation, supporting root cause analysis, and completing assigned follow-up actions. - Internal Quality Audit (IQA):
Support internal quality audits, inspections, and facility walkthroughs by documenting observations, identifying potential gaps, and supporting corrective action follow-up. - QMS:
Support routine QMS and compliance activities related to FSMA, SQF, GMP, HACCP, and other applicable quality, food safety, regulatory, and certification requirements. Assist with Kosher and Halal documentation, submissions, record maintenance, and audit/site visit support. - Documentation Control:
Assist with the development, revision, implementation, distribution, and maintenance of SOPs and other quality system documents. - Quality Training:
Support quality and food safety training activities, including preparation and delivery of routine monthly quality training. - Continuous Improvement:
Support continuous improvement initiatives through data collection, analysis, tracking, and implementation activities to improve product quality, process efficiency, and overall quality system performance. - Undertake backup, temporary, and other assigned quality-related responsibilities as required.
Education and Experience s
- High school diploma or equivalent with 3- 5 years of relevant quality experience, or
- Associate’s degree with 1- 2 years of relevant quality experience, or
- Bachelor’s degree in food science, a related scientific field, or equivalent discipline with no prior experience required.
- Experience in Quality, Regulatory, or a related function within a regulated manufacturing environment is preferred; experience in dietary supplements, food, or pharmaceuticals is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of 21 CFR requirements, FSMA, cGMP, SQF, HACCP, Kosher, Halal, and other applicable quality and food safety requirements is preferred.
- PCQI certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Requires plant field visits that may require the use of protective clothing & personal devices:
Safety shoes, hard hat, safety glasses, earplugs, mask, goggles, insulated gloves, safety vest, harness, hair net, slicker suit, self-contained breathing apparatus - Frequent climbing, standing, bending, walking, work in temperature change (Ranges from 70 to ambient), and office work
- Seldom lifting (Up to 50 lbs.), squatting
- Rarely operating mobile & heavy equipment
- 6:00 am – 2:30 pm;
Monday – Friday - Payday is every other week on Friday’s
$23.30 - $29.11 an hour
