The Café Sales Associate will serve customers and prepare food in the Sunoco convenience store located at 1645 S State St, Salina. This role covers the afternoon shift, 1:30 pm-9:30 pm, with flexible scheduling to meet store needs.

The Café Sales Associate prepares food items such as sandwiches, pizza, cookies, and other menu items; stocks deli coolers with fresh produce; maintains a clean, organized, and inviting environment in the food service areas; delivers high-quality food promptly and courteously; adheres to cooking methods and standards provided by the Deli Manager; follows work schedules, stocking procedures, and organizational practices; and meets performance goals and company standards.
Responsibilities- Prepare food items such as sandwiches, pizza, cookies, and other menu items specific to the location.
- Ensure deli coolers are stocked with fresh produce and ingredients for food preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting environment in the food service areas, including the deli, coffee, bakery, and beverage machine areas as applicable.
- Deliver high-quality food promptly and courteously, ensuring excellent customer service.
- Adhere to cooking methods and standards provided by the Deli Manager.
- Understand and follow work schedules, stocking procedures, and organizational practices.
- Meet performance goals and complete all assigned duties efficiently and to the company's standards.
- Previous experience in a convenience store, restaurant, or retail environment.
- A basic knowledge of food safety standards.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule of nights, days, weekends, and holidays.
- Incredible customer service skills and the ability to create and maintain a customer-focused culture.
- The physical ability to immediately respond to emergency situations.
- Ability to stand for long hours.
