Bartender - Aerie

Location of role: The Aerie, inside the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird

Status: Varies based on business needs

As a bartender you will provide quality service and consistent quality drinks to guests that exceed expectations. Responsible for making and serving all alcoholic beverages in the restaurant and/or lounge.

• PM shifts including late evening, weekends, and holidays.
• Must be able to work any day of the week, including weekends and holidays.

• Report to work on time in the proper uniform. Obedient to all company rules and regulations.
• Prepare your assigned station, be ready to assist others if needed, and complete daily duties before and after shift to maintain appearance and cleanliness of station for guest service and efficiency between shifts.
• Greet and inform guests of specials and menu changes and employ suggestive selling techniques to enhance guest experience and increase company revenues.
• Address and anticipate guest needs; keep tables and/or bar neat and clean throughout service.
• Serve alcohol in compliance with State Alcohol law and regulations.
• Handle all financial transactions for services. Ring out guest checks and collect payments. Run end‑of‑shift reports.
• Maintain sanitation of area and follow state policies and regulations for serving alcoholic beverages responsibly.
• Treat guests and employees with respect in a pleasant manner; take fast and appropriate action to solve problems and handle guest and internal concerns professionally to meet guest expectations and company service standards.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of job‑specific work experience with demonstrated competence.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Food Handler Permit and Alcohol Service Certification.
• Competency in reading, writing, and arithmetic.
• Ability to learn menus, recipes and wine lists.
• Good interpersonal skills, including excellent customer service, listening, and oral communication skills.
• Must demonstrate organizational skills and ability to transport fragile items in busy areas.

• Must be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary, on occasional times of road closures.
• May experience unusual stress from high business volumes, deadlines, continuous work with the public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.
• Must be able to lift 25+ lbs.
• Must be able to carry trays and other items needed for service.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must demonstrate the ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions.
