Mt Carmel, Utah. Zion Mountain Ranch is an elevated sanctuary just 3 miles from the East Entrance of Zion National Park, set on a roaming bison preserve.
Job SummaryAs a Retail Associate, you will provide exceptional guest service in our retail shop, helping visitors find the perfect souvenirs and outdoor essentials to enhance their experience at Zion Mountain Ranch. You will maintain an organized and well‑stocked retail environment, process transactions accurately, and share your knowledge of the park and its offerings with guests. Seasonal working dates:
Date of Hire through November 1st.
- Greet guests, offer assistance, answer questions about products or the park.
- Assist guests in selecting merchandise such as apparel, gifts, souvenirs, and outdoor gear.
- Operate POS to process purchases, returns, and exchanges efficiently and accurately.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the store, restock shelves, fold and arrange merchandise, keep displays neat.
- Handle cash, credit card and gift card transactions responsibly.
- Share information about Zion Mountain Ranch and store products to help guests choose items that enhance their visit.
- Participate in inventory counts and monitor stock levels to ensure timely reordering.
- Stay informed about promotions, sales and events and communicate them to guests.
- Assist with opening and closing duties, such as counting the cash drawer, locking up the store, and preparing for the next business day.

Work Location & ScheduleEmployees will work onsite in a retail environment. Onsite RV space with hook‑ups is available at no cost, and limited employee housing may be provided. Commuting from the local vicinity is also acceptable. Zion Mountain Ranch is open every day; schedules may include Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience- Ability to follow retail and merchandise requirements and compliance with concessions contract.
- Previous retail experience preferred but not required.
- Strong communication and customer service skills with a friendly, outgoing attitude.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Comfortable using POS systems, handling cash, and processing transactions accurately.
- Ability to lift and carry merchandise up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn about Zion Mountain Ranch and surrounding areas.
- Minimize environmental impact during work and onsite living.
- Treat customers, coworkers, leadership, and visitors with respect; project a hospitable service atmosphere at all times.
- Maintain neat, clean, and well‑groomed appearance per Employee Handbook standards.
- Proposed hiring rate of $16.00/hour with tip eligibility; pay adjusted based on experience.
