Associate Manager, Retail

The Associate Manager will assist the Store Manager in areas of sales, profitability, appearance, and overall operations of the store.

• Supervise wholesale or retail operations of the store and oversee all team members assigned to the store/HUB store.
• Coordinate with District and Store Managers in recruiting, hiring, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and discharging team members.
• Communicate and discuss company information with all store team members.
• Train new team members, handle performance evaluations, and recommend pay increases.
• Ensure team members continually improve their skills through training on company policies, procedures, customer service, computer operations, catalog, sales, and safety.
• Make weekly customer calls as assigned.
• Support Store Manager with store accounting, daily reporting, invoice checking, inventory control, and other operational tasks.
• Maintain store/vehicle maintenance, performance, and the appearance of the delivery fleet and maintain vehicle records.
• Keep the store/HUB store neat, clean, and organized.
• Maintain electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll.
• Use installer pricing system to manage gross profit while maximizing commercial sales.
• Monitor commercial returns for core and warranty abuse.
• Review competitive price matches and price overrides for proper use.
• Perform any other duties assigned by store, district, or regional management, including payroll, accounting, DC or other operational areas.
• Work with assistant management team to ensure all team members receive appropriate training in all areas.
• Serve as City Delivery Supervisor: supervise HUB store staff, coordinate city route schedules, oversee efficient order picking and delivery, address customer questions and complaints, and maximize staff efficiency.
• Assist with scheduling workload, team member work schedules, and time off, ensuring adequate staffing to deliver excellent service.
• Maintain a high degree of safety for store staff and drivers.

• High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Completion of Assistant Manager Certification.
• Completion of Sales Specialist Training.
• Completion of Manager Development Program.
• Completion of Installer Service Specialist Training.
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Ability to read and match numerical/alpha characters quickly and accurately.
• Knowledge of automotive parts, equipment, and systems.

• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
• ASE Certification.
