Job Summary
Strata Networks is seeking a Construction Worker (Temporary, Non-Benefitted) to assist with the construction and maintenance of our Capital Projects Team. This position performs a wide variety of field and manual labor tasks, including installing and maintaining underground and aerial cable systems, operating equipment, and supporting the construction crew in daily operations.
Key Responsibilities- Assist Heavy Equipment Operators with loading/unloading materials and setting up work sites
- Hand-dig trenches and place telecommunications facilities where equipment cannot access
- Operate shovels, hydro-vac, and other hand/power tools to expose utility lines safely
- Install and remove aerial and underground cables, pedestals, poles, and related equipment
- Maintain clean and organized worksites, ensuring safe working conditions
- Set up traffic control signs, cones, barrels, and panels
- Perform light maintenance on tools and equipment (fueling, greasing, small repairs)
- Follow all Strata safety standards and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned by Crew Leads or Supervisors
- Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record
- Ability to lift up to 100 lbs and perform strenuous physical work
- Willing to work varied shifts, weekends, and on-call
- Must pass a drug screening
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
