The Meltshop Electrician will promote and enhance Safety Excellence as Nucor Utah’s #1 value. Maintain, improve, diagnose, repair, and upgrade plant equipment and support and lead division initiatives that set the team and division up for success. Promote and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

• 2 years Industrial, Commercial, or heavy power experience
• Able/willing to withstand high temperature working conditions and heights
• Must be willing/able to cover shifts, be called in on short notice, and work overtime as required

• 4-year degree from college, technical school, or other educational program with emphasis in Industrial Maintenance, Industrial Electricity, or similar field that demonstrates commitment and desire for personal growth and development
• Experience with PLCs:
  Allen Bradley Control Logix, Emerson, and Wonderware
• Experience troubleshooting, programming ABB & AB drives
• Equipment upgrade, installation, and commissioning experience
• Proficient in testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring and equipment using testing devices such as ohmmeters and voltmeters to ensure compatibility and safety of system
• Process control instrumentation, working with transmitters, valves, and other electrical components
• Working knowledge of and compliance with OSHA regulations and electrical safety standards (arc flash, LOTO, fall protection, hot work, and job hazard analysis)
