Maintenance Technician
Bell Partners, a leading apartment company serving 85,000+ homes across 13 states and the District of Columbia, is seeking a Maintenance Technician to perform a wide variety of maintenance, repair, and groundskeeping duties under the supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor.
Responsibilities- Perform routine interior and exterior community maintenance, including equipment maintenance as scheduled and requested.
- Respond to all repair requests and maintenance concerns from residents and staff.
- Report equipment malfunctions, breakdowns, and hazardous conditions to the Maintenance Supervisor promptly.
- Maintain resident privacy and obtain proper authority before entering resident apartments.
- Keep maintenance items in a safe area to prevent injuries.
- Attend in-service training and education sessions as assigned.
- Work with vendors such as landscaping, painting, asphalt, etc., as instructed.
- Follow all safety/OSHA requirements and demonstrate regular attendance and punctuality.
- Minimum of 18 years of age.
- High School degree or equivalent.
- Understanding of and alignment with Bell Core Values.
- 1–3 years of previous maintenance experience in a similar facility preferred.
- Basic understanding and ability to repair HVAC, plumbing, electrical, basic carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- HVAC, EPA, and/or CPO certifications may be required in many communities.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Availability to work weekdays, evenings, and weekends.
- Physical requirements:
walking, bending, reaching, climbing, and lifting to 80 lbs.; ability to work with mechanical and electrical equipment and hazardous materials; comfortable with heights and moving heavy objects.
- Competitive hourly compensation of $31.00–$32.00.
