Job Title
Diesel Mechanic and Technician
Compensation$26 to $32 per hour
Schedule4 days a week; 4:00 PM to 4:00 AM

- Quarterly tool allowance.
- Perform heavy and minor repairs on all semi-tractors and pneumatic and oil tanker trailers.
- Maintain shop cleanliness and parts inventory.
- Use computer-based diagnostic systems to determine necessary repairs and identify warranty issues.
- Occasional tire work.
- Implement a thorough preventative maintenance program for a fleet of tractors and trailers (crude and pneumatic), including fueling, greasing, oil and fluid changes, and inspecting trucks for needed repairs.
- Accurately record work performed in the Manager Plus computer program.
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Follow proper safety rules, maintenance, and operating procedures.
- Assist with writing and revising maintenance procedures as needed.
- 1 to 2 years of diesel mechanic experience is a plus.
- Experience with a variety of trucks is a plus.
- Experience with crude and pneumatic trailers is a plus.
- Confidence in repairing suspensions, rear ends, transmissions, air brake systems, and minor engine work (injectors, turbos, etc.).
- Expertise in identifying and diagnosing needed repairs by computer-based systems and visual inspection.
- Class A CDL is a plus but not required.
- Read, write, and understand English and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge and experience using computerized maintenance programs.
- Effective communication with internal leadership, direct reports, external vendors, and other team members.
- Self-starter capable of working independently in line with company goals, strategies, and policies.
- Will be on your feet for extended periods throughout the day.
- Navigate the facility, which may involve harsh weather conditions, uneven ground, ladders, racks, high places, slick or icy surfaces, and other industrial hazards.
- Work safely in an industrial setting.
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds.
