Job:
Diesel Mechanic and Technician
Location:
Roosevelt, UT
Compensation: $26 to $32/hour
Days/
Hours:
4 days a week; 4 pm to 4 am

- Quarterly tool allowance
- Perform heavy and minor repairs on all semi‑tractors and pneumatic and oil tanker trailers
- Maintain shop cleanliness and parts inventory
- Use computer‑based diagnostic systems to determine repairs and identify warranty issues
- Occasional tire work
- Implement a thorough preventative maintenance program for a fleet of tractors and trailers, including fueling, greasing, oil and other fluid changes, and inspections
- Accurately record work performed in the Manager Plus computer program
- Ensure all work complies with regulatory requirements
- Follow proper safety rules, maintenance, and operating procedures
- Assist with writing and revising maintenance procedures as needed
- 1 to 2 years of diesel mechanic experience (plus)
- Experience with a variety of trucks, crude, and pneumatic trailers (plus)
- Confidence in repairing suspensions, rear ends, transmissions, air brake systems, and minor engine work (injectors, turbos, etc.)
- Expertise in diagnosing needed repairs by computer‑based systems and visual recognition
- Class A CDL is a plus but not required
- Ability to read, write, and understand English and follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance programs
- Effective interfacing with internal leadership, direct reports, external vendors, and other team members
- Self‑starter capable of working independently in line with company goals, strategies, and policies
- Will be on your feet for an extended period throughout the day
- Exposure to harsh weather conditions, uneven ground, ladders, racks, high places, slick or icy ground, and other industrial hazards
- Work in an industrial setting requiring safe practices
- Ability to lift up to 100 pounds
