Heavy Equipment Mechanic, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Diesel Mechanic
Scott Schofield Construction is a growing excavation company based right outside of Park City, Utah. We specialize in custom mountain homes along the Wasatch Mountains and surrounding areas, with experience in commercial and residential development. We are a family‑owned, smaller company with large company benefits. We have an 8000 square foot shop, equipped with all the equipment needed from balancing tires to complete engine overhaul.
When the job calls for immediate repairs on site, our service truck equipped with generator, welder, air compressor and crane is ready to get our machines and trucks back up and running. Our fleet consists of:
Komatsu, Cat, and Kubota equipment. Kenworth, Peterbilt and Western Star dump trucks and tractors. Our pickup trucks are GMC, Ford and Dodge with both gas and diesel engines. We take pride in keeping our fleet updated and rotated.
- 10+ years of experience as a mechanic
- Expertise in heavy equipment including excavator, dozers, loaders, and compaction equipment
- Dump trucks
- Tractors and trailers
- Pickup trucks
- Small engines
- Hydraulic, air, fuel and electrical systems
- Diagnostic
- Licenses and certifications preferred but not required
- Must have own tools necessary to perform most basic repairs and services
- Perform repairs and services as scheduled by fleet manager
- Respond to on‑site emergency calls
- Track time and work performed through electronic work order system
- Diagnose and work with fleet manager to order parts for repairs and services
- Perform in‑field services
- Work with employees in the shop and in the field
- Clean and organize shop and work area
- Any other mechanical related responsibilities
- Top pay $35.00-$45.00 per hour. OT at 1.5 hourly rate over 40 hours per week

Pay: $35.00 - $45.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 - 50 per week
