Experienced Bike Mechanic

Moab Cyclery is seeking an experienced professional bicycle mechanic to join our team in Moab, Utah. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented, motivated mechanic who thrives in a fast-paced, rider-focused shop environment.

Our shop supports a large rental and demo fleet in addition to performing everything from quick turnaround repairs to advanced diagnostics and in-depth mechanical service on mountain bikes, e-bikes, and road bikes in a high-demand riding destination.

• Perform repairs, tune-ups, diagnostics, and safety inspections
• Service mountain bikes, road bikes, and e-bikes
• Complete suspension service, drivetrain, brake, and wheel work
• Build and prep new bikes and maintain a large demo/rental fleet
• Handle both quick-turn service work and in-depth mechanical repairs
• Work with customers ranging from first-time riders to advanced, detail-oriented riders
• Maintain a clean, efficient, and professional workspace
• Communicate service needs clearly with customers and team members

• Professional bicycle mechanic experience required
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Experience with suspension service preferred
• E-bike service and diagnostic knowledge preferred
• Proficient with brakes, drive trains, wheel systems, and complete bike builds
• Comfortable referencing service manuals and manufacturer procedures
• Detail-oriented, efficient, and dependable under pressure
• Positive attitude and strong customer service skills
• Willingness to learn new systems and technologies

• Pay: $20–$30/hr based on experience
