Location: Hill Air Force Base
Duties The primary purpose of this position is: to serve as an Air Reserve Technician (ART) that installs, inspects, troubleshoots, tests, repairs, modifies, overhauls, services, and dispatches powered and non-powered aerospace ground support equipment and to train reservists in the accomplishment of tasks set forth herein. DUTY 1:
Inspects, troubleshoots, calibrates, installs, tests, repairs, removes, aligns, modifies, overhauls and performs major maintenance on complex powered and non-powered aerospace ground support systems and integrated sub-systems to include Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE). DUTY 2:
Performs periodic/scheduled, service, special inspections, TCTO's, OTI's and preventive maintenance on complex powered and non-powered aerospace ground support systems and integrated sub-systems to include Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE). DUTY 3:
Installs, maintains, troubleshoots, aligns, calibrates, and performs functional and final testing of integrated electronic systems, components, or subassemblies. DUTY 4:
Reviews, verifies and documents equipment/component forms/tags and Maintenance Information Systems (MIS) to reflect maintenance actions performed for on and off equipment to include initiating Nuclear Certified Equipment (NCE) reports, i.e.; DULL SWORD Actions. DUTY 5:
Complies with safety standards in accordance with State and Federal Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), AF Environmental Compliance Assessment Management Program(ECAMP) and Occupational Safety Health Administration (OSHA), environmental protection practices and procedures, directives, technical orders (TO) and policies. * Must obtain and retain the appropriate security clearance level designated for the position.

* AFSC: 2A6X2 Qualifications In order to qualify, you must meet the quality level of experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards Handbook X-118C for WG-5300 Industrial Equipment Maintenance Family.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Applicants will be rated in accordance with the OPM Qualification Standard Handbook X-118C for the WG-5300 Industrial Equipment Maintenance Family.. Although a specific length of time and experience is not required for most blue-collar positions, you must meet any screen-out element listed, and show through experience and training that you possess the quality level of knowledge and skill necessary to perform the duties of the position at the level for which you are applying.
Qualification requirements emphasis is on the quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. The screen out element for this position is the ability to perform the work of a POWERED SUPPORT SYSTEMS MECHANIC with little to no supervision. JOB ELEMENTS:
Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of principles of electricity (AC/DC), solid state circuitry, and safety rules and regulations pertaining to aerospace ground equipment and the operation of AC/DC generator power systems, knowledge of the theory and operation of internal combustion diesel, gasoline engines and gas turbine compressors, knowledge of USAF Technical Order Program and its procedures as well as regulations, procedures, and policies related to maintenance records, documentation, safety and security requirements as outlined in applicable…
