The Snow Cat Operators and Grooming team must provide our members with the highest quality and safest level skiing and snowboarding surfaces possible. Snow Cat Operators follow nightly plans adjusted to meet changing and challenging weather conditions. We expect all employees to conduct themselves in a professional manner and lead by example.

Job Duties p
Snow Cat Operator I: 0-3 Years Experience

ul liExperience in snow making or grooming operations and or heavy equipment operating experience preferred. An eye for detail and precision in work product and a commitment to learning and or improving skill set. /ul ul liConduct self in a manner that sets an example for employees in all professional and moral responsibilities while at work.
liProvide constant communication with all necessary departments and attending any required meetings. liDoze, pack, and grade trails, base area, and lift ramps. liSkid, and doze ski runs, and all snow surfaces, and mountain roads. liOperate snow cat under the direction of shift supervisor. liAdhere to snow removal, snow storage & grooming plan. liComplete assigned tasks/projects in a safe and timely manner with a high level of quality.
liComplete pre and post shift vehicle inspection. liResponsible for documenting and reporting issues to vehicle maintenance. liKeep vehicle clean and clutter free. liReport safety problems to supervisor. liKeep departments safe by adhering to guidelines and setting safety policy. Must be committed to upholding all company safety policies, procedures, and guidelines. /ul Snow Cat Operator II: 4+ Years Experience pDedication to safety, commitment to successfully completing tasks and leaving excellent product, and a continued passion in improving skill set.

ul liAble to fulfill all Snow Cat Operator I duties as well as: liProvide constant communication with all necessary departments and attending any/all mountain operations meetings. liAble to provide basic guidance to Snow Cat Operator I, when needed. liMust have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with all types of personnel. liGroom novelties, starts, shutdowns, lift ramps, as assigned.
liMust be proficient with blade and tiller operations. liWinch cat experience is a plus. /ul Snow Cat Operator/Groomer III: 5+ Years Experience pEnhanced focus on the safety of everyone on the mountain, attention to every detail that results in laying down the best snow surface, able to see the big picture in projects, and a commitment to continued learning related to the intricacies of grooming and snow maintenance on the mountain.

ul liAble to fulfill all Snow Cat Operator I & II duties as well as: liRepresent department professionally and work with all Mountain Operation departments to complete overall resort objectives. liProvide constant communication with all necessary departments and attending any/all mountain operations meetings. liAble to provide guidance to Snow Cat Operator I and II, when needed. liAble to work closely with Grooming Supervisor to ensure the goals of grooming are met and any challenges are addressed.
liMust have excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with all types of personnel. liMust excel at blade and tiller operations. liWinch cat experience is required. liMust be able to make safe and reasonable decisions to adjust nightly plans to accommodate for unexpected weather-related changes. /ul Qualifications Licenses and Special Requirements: ul liA valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
liMust be able to sit for an entire shift: 8 to 10 hours at a time. liMust have excellent communication skills. liMust have ability to successfully work both as a team and independently. liHand eye coordination, ability to…
