Heavy Truck Mechanic

Hiring a full time Heavy Truck Mechanic for a local commercial concrete and excavating company located in North Salt Lake. Position comes with competitive wage paid weekly and benefits package.

Responsibilities include:

• Semi truck Maintenance and repair
• Regular inspection and servicing
• Servicing and repairing construction equipment.

Required -

• High School Diploma, state-approved High School Equivalency, or GED
• Strong interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Physical effort to move objects and tools that may weigh up to 75 pounds; frequent stooping, bending, squatting, and kneeling
• Able to read and understand wiring schematics and torque specifications.
• Troubleshoot hydraulic systems, valves, pumps, etc.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic systems.
• Must have own tools and toolbox
• Have knowledge of properly wiring and sizing circuits according to their appropriate amps.
• Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
• Perform safety inspections in accordance with DOT standards
• Troubleshoot, repair, and preventative maintenance on diesel engines
• Be able to learn and use technology (laptops and tablets) comfortably
• Maintaining, and keeping a safe and clean workspace
• Must have a minimum of 2 years of experience or have graduated from a diesel technical school.

• HVAC experience
• Experience in diagnosing and repairing aftertreatment systems on tier 3, and tier 4 engines.
• Diagnosing and troubleshooting Cummins ISX 15, and X15 engines.
