Elevate Academy is a co‑ed, residential treatment program for adolescents, specializing in trauma, mood disorders, adoption and attachment issues, and similar diagnoses. Students in Elevate Academy have faced adverse experiences that have negatively impacted their physical, emotional, and social well‑being. We strive to build our students' confidence and resiliency, and then empower them to build on those foundations to take charge of a thriving future!

Elevate Academy is seeking dynamic and passionate regulation life coaches to join our team! As a Regulation team member at Elevate Academy, you'll have the opportunity to work with a diverse group of teenagers, helping them discover their passions and reach their full potential. You'll work with them one‑on‑one, in small groups, and participate side‑by‑side in activities to help them develop life skills, set and achieve goals, and build confidence and resilience.

The primary responsibility of this role is to effectively handle and de‑escalate crisis situations, ensuring the safety and well‑being of individuals involved.

Wage: $16/Hour

Schedule:

We are currently looking for:

Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday: 7am - 3pm, and one Sunday a month working 8am-10pm.

Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully coach and mentor adolescents.
  • Assertiveness to learn and continually enhance knowledge and understanding of neurodiversity and mental health.
  • Good energy and ability to work in all weather conditions.
  • Engaging and empathetic character, with a balance of tenacity and determination.
  • Good problem‑solving, decisiveness, and teamwork skills.
  • Proficient in communication and interpersonal relationship skills.
  • Physical fitness and stamina to effectively respond to physically demanding situations.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Develop close, personal, and emotionally supportive relationships with the students to coach them in their treatment progression.
  • Implement clinical treatment plans as outlined by the Treatment Team.
  • Ensure that a healthy, comfortable, safe, and caregiving environment is maintained.
  • Participate in a wide variety of activities with the students, encouraging and supporting them to develop the skills associated with the tasks (i.e., sports, bike riding, skiing, rock climbing, hiking, swimming, etc.).
  • Properly use a variety of mediation and intervention techniques to redirect students who need support and guidance during escalated moments.
  • Respond promptly to crisis situations and disturbances in a calm and controlled manner.
  • Assess the situation to determine appropriate de‑escalation techniques and intervention strategies.
  • Communicate effectively with individuals in crisis, using active listening and empathy to build rapport.
  • Transport the students to and from off‑campus appointments and activities using company vehicles.
Qualifications:
  • Must be at least 20 years of age or older to apply.
  • Physical ability to provide interventions, such as safety holds.
  • A valid Driver's License, and no more than one traffic violation on a driving record in the past three years to be approved to transport students using company vehicles.
  • Proficiency and fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing English.
