Heavy Equipment Transporter

Overview

Responsible for transporting heavy construction equipment safely and efficiently between job sites, yards, and customers. This role includes loading, securing, hauling, and unloading oversized and overweight equipment while complying with DOT regulations and company safety standards. The transporter works closely with dispatch and field crews to meet schedules, maintain equipment condition, and ensure safe delivery operations.

• Safely load, secure, transport, and unload heavy equipment
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Ensure compliance with DOT and safety regulations
• Plan routes considering weight, height, and width restrictions
• Maintain logs, permits, and delivery documentation
• Communicate with dispatch and job sites on delivery schedules
• Perform basic maintenance checks and report issues

• Valid CDL (Class
  
  A) with appropriate endorsements
• Clean driving record
• Experience hauling oversized/overweight loads
• Knowledge of load securement and DOT regulations
• Ability to operate and load heavy equipment
• Strong safety awareness and attention to detail
• Physical ability to climb, secure loads, and work outdoors
• Good communication and time-management skills
