Directly reporting to the Construction Superintendent, the Senior Materials Specialist is responsible for leading materials management activities that support safe, reliable, and cost-effective field operations for the Utah asset. This role oversees purchasing, inventory control, warehouse and yard operations, material forecasting, surplus equipment disposition, and coordination of critical materials for operations, construction, completions, and maintenance activities. The ideal candidate brings strong oil and gas materials management experience, leadership capability, sound commercial judgment, and the ability to collaborate across departments to ensure material availability, inventory accuracy, and continuous process improvement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Lead materials management activities for the Utah asset, including procurement, inventory control, warehouse operations, yard management, and material distribution
Maintain safe work practices and ensure compliance with FourPoint safety standards, SOPs, JSAs, OSHA requirements, and applicable company policies
Oversee inventory accuracy through cycle counts, reconciliations, audits, and effective materials tracking processes across company-owned and third-party storage locations
Coordinate the sourcing, ordering, expediting, receiving, and distribution of materials, equipment, and supplies needed to support operations, construction, completions, and maintenance activities
Monitor material demand, inventory burn rates, and forecasted operational needs to help maintain optimal stock levels and reduce stockouts, excess inventory, and obsolete materials
Manage requisition, release, receiving, and inventory transactions using Asset Panda and other applicable systems and tracking tools
Develop and maintain material master data, inventory records, control sheets, and supporting documentation to promote accuracy, traceability, and reporting consistency
Support procurement activities by soliciting bids, preparing bid analysis, evaluating supplier pricing and service, and helping ensure best value for controllable and non-controllable materials
Build and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, field teams, operations leadership, accounting, and other internal stakeholders to support efficient materials planning and issue resolution
Oversee daily warehouse and yard activities, including material handling, storage, housekeeping, load verification, and coordination of inbound and outbound shipments
Manage surplus, scrap, and obsolete materials disposition processes, including physical verification, documentation, and coordination with auction or disposal channels
Purchase and control operational consumables such as fuel, glycol, and lubricants, and ensure related allocation and usage reporting is accurate and timely
Process purchasing and invoice documentation through Open Ticket, Open Invoice, and other approved systems in coordination with accounting requirements
Identify and implement process improvements that enhance inventory visibility, warehouse efficiency, cost control, and service levels across the materials function
Provide day-to-day guidance to materials personnel and support cross-training and backfill coverage for critical warehouse and yard responsibilities
Create and maintain reports, spreadsheets, and analyses to support inventory performance, purchasing decisions, and operational planning
Respond to calls, emails, and operational requests promptly and professionally while supporting urgent field material needs as required

Minimum of 7 years of oil and gas experience in materials management, inventory control, procurement, warehouse operations, or supply chain support
Minimum of 3 years of leadership or supervisory experience in a warehouse, yard, materials, or operations support environment preferred
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Strong working knowledge of oilfield materials, MRO inventory practices, capital equipment purchasing, and field operations support
Experience with inventory systems, purchasing workflows, and materials tracking software; familiarity with Asset Panda, Open Ticket, and Open Invoice preferred
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other standard business software, including the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and basic data analysis
Strong understanding of inventory accuracy processes, cycle counts, reconciliations, and materials documentation controls
Demonstrated ability to coordinate across Operations, Construction, Completions, Drilling, Water Services, Gas Services, Office Services, Materials, and Accounting teams
Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with vendors, field personnel, and internal stakeholders
Strong organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment
