Job Details

We are in need of a Superintendent for our construction projects. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual looking to lead and oversee large-scale commercial construction projects exceeding $20M. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in complex project management, a strong understanding of the commercial construction industry, and a passion for delivering high-quality results. This role will require a dynamic individual who is ready to take on challenges, drive project success, and contribute to our company's reputation for excellence.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing all stages of project life cycle including planning, design, construction, occupancy, and closeout.
  • Leading project teams and coordinating with various stakeholders including architects, engineers, contractors, and clients.
  • Ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget.
  • Maintaining strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
  • Conducting regular site inspections to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety or sanitation standards.
  • Directing and supervising workers, subcontractors, and work activities.
  • Preparing and submitting budget estimates, progress reports, or cost tracking reports.
  • Implementing effective communication plan and ensuring its execution throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Resolving work problems, disputes, or conflicts to ensure smooth project operation.
  • Ensuring project compliance with all building and safety codes, and other regulations.
Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a superintendent role focusing on commercial, multifamily, education, or something similar.
  • Proven experience in managing projects exceeding $20M in size.
  • Broad understanding of the construction industry, including knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of buildings or other structures.
  • Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to lead teams and coordinate with various stakeholders.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve project-related issues efficiently.
  • Proficiency in project management software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and regulations in the construction industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field is preferred.
  • Certifications such as Certified Construction Manager (CCM), or Project Management Professional (PMP) will be an added advantage.
