Description
The Civil Engineer serves as a lead engineering professional responsible for overseeing land development projects from initial concept through final delivery. This individual plays a critical role in managing the technical execution and client relationships associated with a variety of site development projects. Responsibilities include leading project planning efforts, developing project scopes, guiding multidisciplinary teams through design, permitting, and construction phases, overseeing the preparation of construction plans, coordinating with internal design staff and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with applicable municipal and regulatory requirements.
The role also acts as the primary point of contact for clients, supporting ongoing communication, managing expectations, and ensuring successful project outcomes. The individual will manage multiple projects simultaneously, establish priorities, and maintain schedules and budgets.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Michigan required or ability to obtain within 12 months (EIT)
- 5+ years of experience in land development civil engineering projects, including design and project management responsibilities
- Demonstrated experience leading projects and supervising engineering or design staff
- Strong knowledge of site development, grading, drainage, and utility design
- Experience working with municipal agencies and navigating permitting and regulatory approvals
- Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and Microsoft Office Suite required
- Experience with SurvCAD or HEC RAS is a plus

Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 - $62.50/hr.
