Schoenherr Family Practice is located on 24 Mile Rd and Schoenherr in Shelby Twp.

• Leads or coordinates shift operations of assigned activities, resources, and/or associates.
• Serves as a technical or functional resource and performs similar duties with staff.
• Assigns, monitors, and reviews progress of work. Monitors and reports compliance with policies and/or procedures.
• Oversees and evaluates orientation and training of assigned associates. May provide input in the review and evaluation of staff performance.
• Inventories clinical supplies and places supply orders to maintain desired levels. Receives and organizes the handling of medication samples.
• Participates with Patient Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and other health management programs as assigned.
• Complies with CLIA, OSHA, and other regulatory agency standards. Participates in in-service programs as needed. Follows infection controls and safety policies.

• COMPLEXITY OF WORK:
  Within scope of job, this position requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• PERSONAL PROTECTIVE EQUIPMENT:
  Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
• EDUCATION and/or
  
  EXPERIENCE:
  
  High school diploma or equivalent OR graduate of an accredited healthcare professional program OR current applicable healthcare professional licensure/certification.
• CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OTHER:
  • 1. BLS Healthcare Provider (BLS-HCP) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) within 30 days of start/hire/transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for professional Rescuers Card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from the AHA.
  • 2. Within 90 days of hire/transfer must be eligible for and is required to obtain Medical Assistant certification or registration date OR current applicable healthcare professional licensure/certification.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

Two (2) years of previous medical office experience required.
