The Hi-lo Driver supports MNP's distribution divisions by moving, tracking, and staging steel and work-in-process in accordance with production schedules. This role is a key member of the distribution team and must be able to work well with others yet work without constant supervision. Successful hi-lo drivers are detail-oriented and work in a proactive mode – anticipating the needs of the team they support.
Responsibilities- Communicate with the team including production control.
- Locate and move steel coils to the appropriate operation.
- Locate and move manufactured parts to next operation.
- Stage tubs for manufacturing ensuring empty tubs are available as needed.
- Assist other hi-lo drivers with expedited orders as needed.
- Scan tags and enter information into computer as required.
- Maintain clean and orderly work areas; clean up spilled parts.
- Report missing paperwork or documents.
- Work in a safe manner; follow all safety protocols.
- Other duties as needed.
- 1 year of experience driving a hi-lo, previous hi-lo certification required.
- Prefer 1 year of hi-lo experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
- Able to communicate clearly and effectively.
- Possesses basic computer skills.
- Possesses basic mathematical skills.
- Able to read job instructions and keep detailed records.
- Able to work without constant supervision.
- Able to work well with others.
- Able to think ahead and plan material moves to maximize efficiency.
- Able to pass a pre-employment, post-offer physical and drug screen.
- Able to pass a background check.

CompensationSalary: $18.00 per hour.
