Lo Driver - Distribution

Schedule

3rd shift Monday through Friday 11:00 pm to 7:00 am with occasional weekends when needed.

The Hi-lo Driver supports MNP's distribution divisions by moving, tracking, and staging steel and work-in-process in accordance with production schedules. This role is a key member of the distribution team and must be able to work well with others yet work without constant supervision. Successful hi-lo drivers are detail-oriented and work in a proactive mode – anticipating the needs of the team they support.

• Communicate with the team including production control.
• Locate and move steel coils to the appropriate operation.
• Locate and move manufactured parts to next operation.
• Stage tubs for manufacturing ensuring empty tubs are available as needed.
• Assist other hi-lo drivers with expedited orders as needed.
• Scan tags and enter information into computer as required.
• Maintain clean and orderly work areas; clean up spilled parts.
• Report missing paperwork or documents.
• Work in a safe manner; follow all safety protocols.
• Other duties as needed.

• 1 year of experience driving a hi-lo, previous hi-lo certification required.
• Prefer 1 year of hi-lo experience in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
• Able to communicate clearly and effectively.
• Possesses basic computer skills.
• Possesses basic mathematical skills.
• Able to read job instructions and keep detailed records.
• Able to work without constant supervision.
• Able to work well with others.
• Able to think ahead and plan material moves to maximize efficiency.
• Able to pass a pre-employment, post-offer physical and drug screen.
• Able to pass a background check.
