Shape the Tools That Shape Flight
Step onto the shop floor where precision meets purpose. Your day begins at the bench with a new set of aerospace prints. You interpret specifications, confirm quality requirements, and plan the build. With straightedges and precision metrology in hand, you establish and coordinate reference points and tooling holes that make downstream assembly seamless.
Throughout the day, you switch between tasks: fabricating new jigs and fixtures to exacting tolerances, documenting quick fabrication sketches to solve alignment challenges, and returning to existing tooling for repairs or rework when production calls. When the job demands it, you head to the machines—lathes, Bridgeport mills, and grinders—to bring components into spec, verifying each step with micrometers, height gages, and other hand metrology tools.
