What You’ll Do- Safety Strategy:
Designing interventions to knock out Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs). - Education:
Teaching the team about the latest tech and best practices. - Quality Control:
Analyzing data to make our busy surgery center run like a well-oiled machine. - Trendspotting:
Staying ahead of the curve on emerging infectious diseases and regulatory affairs.

Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM. (You’ll actually be home for dinner!) - The Benefits:

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION/COMPETENCIES
Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Development and implementation of evidence-based interventions designed to reduce and eliminate the risk for Healthcare Associated Infections (HAIs) and/or disease transmission.
- Develops and conducts the ASC Infection Control/Prevention Program Planning addressing risks for the acquisition and transmission of infectious agents and establishing priorities/setting goals and strategies accordingly including but not limited to auditing and data collection.
- Completes Infection Control needs assessment, development, presentations, and evaluation of educational sessions relating to topics including infection prevention & control, emerging infectious diseases, new initiatives, and regulatory affairs.
- Assist with Quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
- Assist with providing and monitoring in-services on new equipment/procedures to staff.
- To provide assistance and maintain knowledge in Infection Control, Quality and risk assessment.
- Performs other position related duties as assigned.
- Employees shall adhere to high standards of ethical conduct and comply with all applicable laws and regulations, including HIPAA and annual Compliance Training.
- RN license and certification as required by state.
- Continued education / webinars on infection control and Quality annually.
- Ability to communicate with multi-disciplinary and interdepartmental teams.
- Ability to assist with collection of data and analysis.
- Ability to recognize professional challenges and barriers.
- Ability to complete delegated tasks and assist with the training staff.
- Complies with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Associate s degree required;
Graduate of accredited nursing program. BSN preferred.
- 3+ years as an ambulatory surgical RN.
- Travel between surgical centers (If applicable) 20-30%.
Physical demands include lifting and carrying with varying weight and frequency.
