Pre-Admit Testing Specialist (RN) – No Weekends, No On-Call!
Home Base: Utica, MI (11051 Hall Road, Suite 100)
Travel Required: Shared coverage with our Troy location (130 Town Center, Suite 130)
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday – Friday (No weekends, no on-call!)
Hours: ~40–42 hours per week (5x8-hour shifts). Shift windows vary between 6:30 AM/7:30 AM starts and 4:30 PM/5:00 PM finishes.

As our PAT Specialist, you are the gatekeeper of patient safety and the expert who sets every surgery up for success:
- The Warm Welcome & Assessment: Handle critical clinical intake, perform initial physical assessments, and complete comprehensive patient interviews to map out medical histories.
- The Clinical Prep: Step up to perform essential ordered testing, including running EKGs and drawing blood for lab work.
- The
Collaboration:
Work hand‑in‑hand with our surgeons and anesthesia providers, serving as the ultimate advocate to ensure every patient is perfectly cleared and ready for surgery.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. A BSN is preferred, but your talent and experience matter.
- Experience: 2+ years of perioperative services experience is highly preferred.
- Flexibility: Ready and willing to commute between our Utica and Troy locations to support both elite surgical teams.

- RN license and certification as required by state.
- BLS certification required, ACLS preferred.
- Certified Nurse Post‑Anesthesia (CAPA) preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
- Patient‑focused with ability to remain calm in difficult situations.
- Excellent interpersonal skills. Must be compassionate and personable.
- Basic computer skills and use of Microsoft Office; prior experience with EMR software required.
- Compliance with HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
- Carrying 1–25 lbs: frequent (34%–66%); 26–50 lbs: occasionally (2%–33%).
- Pushing/Pulling 1–25 lbs: seldom (up to 2%); 100+ lbs: seldom (up to 2%).
- Lifting—Floor to Chest (1–25 lbs): occasional (2%–33%); 26–50 lbs: seldom (2%).

This position is within the Michigan Surgical Center and Town Center Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) teams. Employees must comply with industry regulations and organizational policies, including the Solaris Health Code of Conduct, HIPAA, and annual compliance training.
