Automotive Shop Porter

This is a hands‑on support position for someone who takes pride in keeping things clean, organized, stocked, and running smoothly. The ideal candidate notices what needs attention and takes care of it without requiring constant direction.

• Maintaining daily cleanliness and organization throughout the shop
• Performing routine housekeeping duties in work areas and common areas
• Keeping floors, work spaces, storage areas, and shop support areas clean and orderly
• Maintaining cleanliness of customer vehicles when needed
• Cleaning and maintaining company courtesy loaner vehicles
• Transporting customers to and from local destinations
• Picking up and delivering automotive parts and supplies
• Assisting with inventory counts, organization, and restocking
• Monitoring commonly used shop supplies and helping ensure proper stock levels
• Assisting with receiving, moving, and organizing parts and deliveries
• Helping maintain exterior areas and overall facility appearance
• Supporting technicians, service advisors, and management with general operational needs
• Assisting with other duties throughout the shop as needed

• Previous porter experience at an automotive repair facility or dealership is strongly preferred
• Experience with parts delivery, inventory, facility maintenance, detailing, or similar support roles is beneficial
• Familiarity with an automotive shop environment is a plus

• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record
• Ability to safely drive a variety of vehicles
• Ability to perform physical tasks including walking, standing, lifting, cleaning, and moving supplies throughout the workday
