Training Opportunities

• Struggling to job search in the digital age? Herkimer Working Solutions is hosting free computer training and certification classes from Northstar Digital Literacy. Learn basic computer skills, internet basics, career search skills, Microsoft Word and Excel and more. They have sessions every 1st and 3rd Thursday of the month. For more information call .
• Job Corps Information Session 9:00AM – 1:00PM every other Wednesday at the Herkimer County Working Solutions. Job Corps is a federally sponsored training program, offering training opportunities in Healthcare, Advanced Manufacturing, Construction, Automotive, and more, all free of charge. Job Corps serves youth ages 16 – 24 and can help with GED, trades training, driving, soft skill training, and transition services.

• Empowered Pathways' Women's Employment & Resource Center (WERC) is offering two new workshops this spring. The Job Interview Skills workshops will be presented by their Executive Director, Stephanie Eghigian. One will be held on Tuesday, April 15th and the other on Tuesday, April 29th. Both will be from 9:30AM to 12:30PM. Those interested can choose which date works best for them!
